Tremblant International Blues Festival will take place this summer from July 10th to 19th, and this edition again promises great performances and discoveries. Jonas, whose appearance was a major event a few years ago, is back this year to fire things up.
Over 150 musical performances!
Established as a major event in Quebec, the Tremblant International Blues Festival offers more than 150 musical performances, including many that are of international calibre. The undeniable appeal of the performances is multiplied many times over by the beauty of the milieu in which they take place, right in the heart of Tremblant’s pedestrians-only village, surrounded by lakes and mountains.
Jonas at Tremblant
Tremblant’s famed ambience is enlivened even further by the warm, rhythmic music that will delight everyone… from professionals to neophytes by way of everyone else. It’s within this lively environment that energetic Montreal singer Jonas will give his all for the audience. Rising to chart fame with his smash hit “SuperSexMe”, from his second album “Suite Life”, (2006, nominated for an Adisq award), Jonas Tomalty and his guitarist wingman Corey Diabo are riding the wave of their latest and third release, “Promised Land”.
Lots of great artists!
Visitors will also have the chance to see Buckwheat Zydeco, celebrating this year the 30th anniversary of his first tour. To mark the occasion, he and his group are visiting Tremblant again and have just released a new zydeco record, “Lay Your Burden Down” (Alligator), produced by Steve Berlin of Los Lobos. The disc includes covers of tunes by Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen, and Captain Beefheart.
